BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech football spoke with the local media following its practice on Monday. Kaden Moore and Benji Gosnell highlighted the challenges of facing Syracuse's defensive front, while Jalen Stroman discussed the growth across Tech's defense.

Read below to see what they had to say.

Offensive Lineman Kaden Moore

On the offensive line improvements in the run game:
"I'd say everyone just locking in, we're practicing harder. I feel like we're understanding more. You know, we have a kind of young offensive line, so I feel like playing more was getting them better. So, I feel like every week we're building."

Safety Jalen Stroman

On what Nasir Peoples brings to the safety room:
"Leadership. That's the captain in that room. He's gonna hold everybody accountable. He's gonna push everybody. He's gonna make sure everybody's doing the right thing every moment possible."

Tight End Benji Gosnell

On playing against Syracuse's defense:
"Well, like I said, they do a good job of giving you a bunch of different looks. They play aggressive, they play hard, they play physical, they're pretty stout up front. So, we just got to play with our fundamentals. Making sure we're identifying things pre-snap correctly. Then just react to movement and just get our hands inside, drive our feet and play the way we know we can play."
