BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech football met with the media following its first conference victory over Pitt. Head coach Brent Pry spoke at the podium after addressing the team, with Drones' interview taking place on-field with ACC Network.

Read below to see what they had to say.

Head Coach Brent Pry

On the offensive play calling:
"Yeah, let me say I thought Tyler called a great game. Committed to the run and it wasn't always pretty. Some of them were no-gainers or minus yardage, but we invested there. I thought the run selection was the right selection. I thought the misdirection plays, the shots, the screens. Really did a nice job. I thought there were some gadgets out there that loosened up defenses and I thought he called a really good game. I thought the guys executed well, particularly Kyron."

On the team performance on offense:
"I think the whole team was hungry. That was the sentiment all week. And anxious to go play well, to play like we're capable. And I think we were closer to that tonight. But Kyron played well. He did some good things."

On the team's resiliency:
"I think it says a lot. But again, we've been in some tough situations. And I think they believed that if they stay the course, they can come out on top of that thing. There were enough good things in that game that there was some confidence in our football team tonight."

Quarterback Kyron Drones

On his in-game confidence and getting his first win:
"I felt real confident. The whole offense, the whole team, been loading into the game plan all week. We had our best practices all week, and I felt real confident."

"It feels good just knowing that it was a conference win. We started out 1-0 in conference, it feels good. Now we're on the next week."
