CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia Tech football will play Wake Forest at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field, the conference announced Monday. The game is set to air on ACC Network.
Tech's matchup with Wake Forest will be the first meeting between the two schools since 2020. The last game played in Blacksburg was on Nov. 9, 2019, where the Hokies scored 23 unanswered in the second half, beating the 19th-ranked Demon Deacons 36-17.
Saturday's contest will be Tech's Maroon Effect theme game and fans are encouraged to wear their maroon team gear. The official Maroon Effect shirt is available for purchase.
Tickets to the Wake Forest game are currently sold out. If you're still looking to attend, tickets can be purchased on SeatGeek, the official secondary marketplace of Tech Athletics.
Tech is currently slated for a road matchup with No. 5 Florida State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
