Virginia Tech welcomes North Carolina back to Blacksburg this Friday, Sept. 8 at 7 p.m. ET under the lights on Thompson Field.

Get ready for this highly anticipated matchup with five things to know for the Hokies' game against the Tar Heels.

1. It's International Hokies Night. Come out to Thompson field to celebrate our international athletes and students with us!

2. Get ready for a Student Giveaway. The first 250 students to attend the game receive a special men's soccer International Hokies T-shirt, available on a first-come, first-served basis during halftime. Make sure to bring your Hokie Passport to claim a shirt. It's an amazing opportunity to grab some free merchandise, so don't miss out!

3. In-Venue Host Bailey Angle will be attending. Enjoy added contests, games, and content with exciting In-Venue Host Bailey Angle!

4. Emerging talents making big impacts. The Hokies have had 12 new players make debuts this season, with shining performances by freshmen Noe Uwimana and Marcos Escoe. In Tech's game against Davidson earlier this week, Escoe scored a header off an assist by Uwimana in the second half to secure a draw.

5. Participate in this week's Guess the Goal game. Fans can Guess the Goal at every home game for a chance to win a Hokies prize pack. Make sure to stop by the main entrance to guess when the Hokies will score their first goal of the game. If you're closest to the actual time, you win! Winners are notified via email and can pick up their prize at the next home game.
