CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Virginia Tech football will play Pitt at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Lane Stadium/Worsham Field on ACC Network, the conference announced Monday.
The primetime matchup will include a second visit to Blacksburg for ACC Huddle, following its season premiere during the opener versus Old Dominion. Led by new host Kelsey Riggs, the broadcast crew will also include analysts Eric Mac Lain, EJ Manuel, Mark Richt and Eddie Royal.
Tech's matchup with Pitt will be the 23rd meeting between the two schools, with an even split of the all-time series 11-11. Overall, the Hokies have found an advantage playing at home, owning a 7-3 record at Lane Stadium.
The last victory at home came in 2019 with the Hokies pitching a shutout against the Panthers, with a dominant 28-0 victory.
This will be the second matchup with head coach Brent Pry at the helm. Tech is currently 1-2 on the season and will travel to face Marshall on Saturday, Sept. 23 at noon ET on ESPN2 for its second road game of the year.
