Returning to Blacksburg from a win against Navy, the Virginia Tech women's soccer team faces Big Ten opponent Northwestern for the first time in program history on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. ET.
 
Several exciting events are in-store for this upcoming marquee matchup; be prepared with five things to know for the Hokies' game against the Wildcats.
 
1. Party at the Pitch with us. Head out to Thompson Field for a party this Sunday! Enjoy a family-friendly afternoon of fun, including a bounce house, kid's activities and games, a party playlist and a postgame meet-and-greet with the Hokies.
 
2. Hokie Kids' Club Day. Attention all Kids' Club members, we have a special day planned for you at Thompson Field. Be sure to stop by the promotions table located near the main entrance to grab a complimentary free popcorn voucher, and don't forget to say hi to the HokieBird while he's there! Also, autographs will take place on the field after the game.
 
3. Youth Soccer Day. We're inviting all youth soccer teams in the area to hang out with the Hokies! Come join an afternoon filled with family-friendly concession prizes, games and activities.
 
4. Enjoy this week's Student Giveaway. Let's fill those stands at Thompson Field, and feel free to pick up a fresh slice of pizza starting at 12:30 p.m. for our student giveaway. Don't forget to bring your Hokie Passport, and it will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
 
5. Hokies showdown with top 20 team. Northwestern is ranked No. 20 in the NCAA, providing an exciting challenge for Virginia Tech. It also marks the first time the Wildcats are playing the Hokies. You don't want to miss out, so be sure to bring your friends and families to support our team this weekend.
