BLACKSBURG – For the second straight season, Virginia Tech football's Peter Moore has been named to the preseason watch list for the Ray Guy Award, which honors the top punter in the FBS.

Moore (6-1, 197) attempted 73 punts totaling 3,042 yards for a 41.7-yard average during the 2022 season. He also placed 24 punts inside the 20 and delivered 17 beyond 50 yards, including his season long 67 yards.

The Davidsonville, Maryland native and former All-ACC selection, enters his third season as a starter after serving as a team captain in 2022. Moore was also earned preseason All-ACC honors from Phil Steele alongside five other Hokies.

Tech opened fall camp Wednesday, the first of 15 practices in the preseason, and is slated to begin its season against Old Dominion on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. ET. Fans can now purchase single-game tickets and choose their preferred seat locations for the season opener.
