5 Things to Know: 2023 Virginia Tech Football Fan Day

Fan Day Central

With fall camp in full swing and kickoff less than a month away, the Virginia Tech football program is set to spend Sunday afternoon, Aug. 13, with Hokie Nation in the Beamer-Lawson Indoor Practice Facility for the team's annual Fan Day.

Fan Day is a free event for fans to meet Tech players and coaches while enjoying interactive contests, family-friendly music, sponsor booths, free hot dogs, appearances from the HokieBird and Spirit Squads and more.

Get ready for this year's edition with five things to know about Sunday's event:

1. Doors will open at 1 p.m. ET for Triumph NIL's exclusive session, at 1:15 p.m. for current Hokie Kids' Club Maroon-level members and 15 minutes later for the general public at 1:30 p.m. Those who are paying Triumph subscribers, as well as up to two additional children 18-and-under per subscriber, can meet with select Virginia Tech student-athletes and head coach Brent Pry at 1 p.m. All Hokie Kids' Club Maroon-level members may gain early access to Fan Day at 1:15 p.m. via the door nearest Gate 7.

Hokie Kids' Club memberships are still available for the upcoming year.

2. Free parking is available in select campus lots. Parking is available for free in Lot 1 (across from Cassell Coliseum close to Thompson Field), Lot 3 (on Sterrett Drive across from the VT Police Station) and Lot 5 (Chicken Hill).

3. Fans can purchase "Skip the Line" passes to move to the front of autograph lines while they last. Those who purchase a Skip the Line pass can pick them up at the promotions table in the middle of the field at Fan Day.

4. Free 2023 Tech Football posters and schedule cards will be available for pick-up. Fans get the first look at the 2023 football poster and can pick up a copy to be signed by the football student-athletes and/or coaches. Posters are available both at the promotions table in the middle of the field and at each position group.

5. Autographs will be limited to one spirit item per person. Outside fan spirit items will be allowed at this year's event. Only one item per autograph station may be signed per person. In addition, student-athletes and coaches reserve the right to decline to autograph any item for any reason, especially items that seem to be fashioned to sell for profit. No posed photography will be permitted in the autograph lines.
