CINCINNATI – Virginia Tech's Ali Jennings has been ranked as one of the highest-graded returning Power Five wide receivers by Pro Football Focus (PFF).

Jennings transferred to Tech after two standout seasons with Old Dominion and enters 2023 with the 10th-best grade (81.8) handed out by PFF. He is the second Tech student-athlete to be ranked in PFF's top 10 for Power Five returnees, with sophomore Mansoor Delane being the eighth-highest-graded cornerback.

Following two years at West Virginia (2019-20), Jennings' production catapulted at ODU amassing 116 receptions, 2,025 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns.

Last season, he was named to the All-Sun Belt First Team after leading the conference with nine touchdowns. Jennings was a consistent producer in 2022 averaging 106.6 yards per game, the third highest in the country, and having a stretch of seven-straight games with a touchdown.

He showcased his ability to break open games last year with an eight-reception, 200-yard and three-touchdown performance against East Carolina. Over the course of the season, he had five 100-yard receiving games, beginning the year with 122 yards versus the Hokies, 144 yards against Arkansas State, including a career-long 77-yard receiving touchdown, 129 yards versus Liberty and 130 yards against Georgia Southern.

Also, being recognized as a Phil Steele All-American Honorable Mention, he offers plenty of potential in his first season in the maroon and orange.

A few weeks ago, Jennings was named to Athlon Sports' Preseason All-ACC Team, earning first-team honors.

The ACC recently revealed game times and TV network designations for three of Tech's home games. Take advantage of the kick times mini plan by choosing the three home games that have been solidified time-wise, including Old Dominion (8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 2), Purdue (noon on Saturday, Sept. 9) and Syracuse (7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 26).
