Vero Beach, Fla. – Sophomore pitcher Emma Lemley has been invited to the 2023 U.S. Women's Fast Pitch Camp, taking place June 13-14 at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex. The camp features a 28-player invite list of current and former student-athletes from 19 different NCAA Division I universities.
The camp is in preparation for selecting U.S. Women's National Team rosters to compete in future events slated throughout the 2023 season. Athletes who accepted an invitation to attend the camp will participate in a series of position drills and simulated games while gaining exposure to the USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Committee.
Athletes attending the two-day camp will have the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of the USA Softball WNTSC, which will be tasked with selecting two 2023 U.S. Women's National Team rosters – one to compete at the Japan All-Star Series in August and one to head to Santiago, Chile for the Pan American Games in November.
The Japan All-Star Series will feature a full roster of current college athletes while the Pan American Games roster will showcase athletes from the collegiate and professional levels.
Lemley was selected to represent the United States at the Canada Cup International Softball Championship in June 2022, helping the United States to a championship.
