GREENSBORO, N.C. - Sophomore Victoria Gorlova was named ACC Women's Co-Field Performer of the Week, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Tuesday, May 2.
Gorlova leads the ACC women's triple jump with an outdoor personal-best distance of 44'5.25" (13.54m) set at the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, Fla. on April 29. She ranks 12th in the NCAA, and sixth in the East Region with less than one week left in the regular season.
"I am very happy with Victoria's performance this weekend," said assistant coach Paul Zalewski. " It was her first competition this season from a full approach, so to perform this well already is really encouraging for the upcoming championships season."
Gorlova placed fifth in the long jump with a season-best distance of 19'9.75" (6.04m) and is currently ranked 10th in the ACC.
