- Entering the final week of the regular season, Virginia Tech ranks No. 55 in the NCAA Division I Baseball RPI with its strength of schedule ranking at No. 47 nationally. Tech is 18-17 against the RPI top 100 (8-12 against the RPI top 50).

- Virginia Tech has gone 18-4 this season against non-conference opponents, including its 7-5, come-from-behind win against the Dukes on April 25 at English Field. - Tech is 9-2 during midweek games this season. The Hokies have combined to outscore their midweek opponents by the 118-51 margin (13.0 runs per nine innings).
