CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. – Virginia Tech (10-11, 1-10) fell to No. 9 Virginia on Friday night, 5-2.

The 'Hoos cruised in doubles only conceding two total games across all three doubles matches leading to a 1-0 lead heading into singles.

The highlight of the night for Tech came on court one where freshman phenom Özlem Uslu continued to prove why she is one of the best freshman in the entire conference. Uslu dominated No. 60 Natasha Subhash, 6-1, 7-6(4), to earn her second-straight ranked victory and improved her singles record to 15-5 this season.

Katie Andreini backed her up on court six with a straight-set win of her own, 6-2, 6-4, but it ultimately wasn't enough for the Hokies to get past Virginia.
