GREENSBORO, N.C. – Freshman Judson Lincoln IV was named ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Tuesday, April 4.
"Judson is a fierce competitor," said associate head coach Tim Vaught. "When I recruited him, I saw a lot of potential in him. He is now having a phenomenal freshman season and I cannot wait to see him continue developing."
Lincoln IV is ranked fourth in the nation following his second-place finish in the 400m at the Pepsi Florida Relays in Gainesville, Fla. with a personal-best time of 45.66. He is ranked first among freshmen in the NCAA and holds the fastest time this season in the ACC. Lincoln IV also contributed to the men's 4x400m relay team breaking the Virginia Tech school record with a time of 3:06.39.
The Hokies return to action on Friday, April 7 as the men's and women's pole vault squad competes at the Tennessee Invite in Knoxville, Tenn.
