Ketchum, DiNunzio earn bids to Raleigh Regional

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech women's golfers Morgan Ketchum and Becca DiNunzio were selected as individuals for the 2023 NCAA Raleigh Regional, which will be contested May 8-10 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C. The NCAA regional fields were announced Wednesday afternoon on the Golf Channel.

With their selections, the Hokies will travel two of their golfers to a regional for the first time in program history. Tech narrowly missed out going as a team. The Hokies have qualified for regionals as a team in four of the program's eight years of competition.

Lonnie Poole will be a familliar test for Ketchum and DiNunzio, who both played at the par-72 layout at the beginning of April, albeit in a match-play format.

All teams will compete in a three-day, 54-hole regional May 8-10, to determine the 2023 NCAA Championship field. Five teams from each regional and the top individual not on an advancing team will advance to the finals, which will be held May 19-24 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
