BLACKSBURG – One of the biggest weeks of the year for those who love football takes place this weekend in Kansas City, as the 2023 NFL Draft will happen Thursday through Saturday.
The first round takes place on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET, while the second and third rounds are on Friday starting at 7 p.m. The final day, which is rounds 4-7, starts at noon. Coverage will be on ABC, ESPN and NFL Network.
Teams will have 10 minutes per selection in the first round and seven minutes in the second round. Rounds 3-6, including compensatory selections, will be have a maximum of five minutes per pick and the seventh round will be allotted four minutes per pick.
A grand total of 259 picks will be made, including compensatory selections. Tech's draftees will be awaiting their names to be called from their homes and other locations across the country.
Virginia Tech, which held its Pro Day last month with 11 Hokies participating, seeks to continue its impressive run of NFL Draft picks over the years, with Tech having a selection in 28 of the last 29 drafts.
