BLACKSBURG – The No. 14/17 Virginia Tech softball team returns to Tech Softball Park on Tuesday, hosting Radford in a midweek beginning at 6 p.m. The game will be streamed on ACCNX.
LAST TIME OUT
The Hokies went 1-2 over the weekend, falling in games one and three to Notre Dame and posting an 8-7 win in game two against the Irish. Tech fell 6-1 in game one on Friday. Kelsey Brown's three-hit day led the Hokies offensively. Sophomore Rachel Castine had the Hokies RBI on the day, going 1-for-2 with an RBI triple in the second inning. The Hokies fought back from down 7-5 in the fifth inning to beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 8-7 Saturday in game one of the doubleheader. Sophomore Bre Peck led the way offensively for the Hokies, going 3-for-3 in the ballgame with a double, two home runs and three RBI. Notre Dame took game three 11-3 in five innings. Castine added two RBI to her tally on the season and Addy Greene added the third RBI for the Hokies.
COMING IN CLUTCH
Emma Lemley recorded her third save of the season in the game two win over Notre Dame, now with six total saves in her career. Her six saves put her at fourth in program history, with 11 being the career record set by Angela Tincher (2005-08). Lemley has also recorded saves against Georgia Tech and Chattanooga this season.
MULTI-HOMER GAMES
Bre Peck hit two home runs in the game two win over Notre Dame. She leads the Hokies with 13 on the year. This is Peck's second game of the season with 2 home runs, as Addy Greene and Emma Ritter also have multi-home run games. In addition to her two home runs against Notre Dame, Bre Peck added a .444 batting average with four hits and four runs scored. She led the team with three RBI and 12 total bases. The sophomore also had two doubles.

The Hokies host Florida State in an ACC series beginning on Thursday. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN2. Friday's game at 6 p.m. will be on ACCNX, followed by the series finale at 2 p.m. on ACC Network.
