BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech wrestling team garnered eight All-ACC Wrestling Academic Team honors as released by the league office on Monday, April 10, 2023. Hokies tie for third-most selections among conference programs to end 2022-2023 season.
Academic Team honors recognize student athletes who hold a 3.0 grade point average for the semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Additionally, selectees must have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's matches. Garnering academic honors for the Hokies are Connor Brady (r-So, Management), Tom Crook (Fr, Finance), Ty Finn (r-Fr, Business), Cooper Flynn (r-Fr, Building Construction), Collin Gerardi (Gr, Agriculture & Life Sciences), Sam Latona (r-Jr, Management), Jackson Spires (r-Fr, Mechanical Engineering), and Clayton Ulrey (r-So, Computer Engineering). The group represents Tech to tie for third most selections among conference programs.
