Tech enters ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament as No. 11 seed

BLACKSBURG — The bracket for the 2023 New York Life ACC Men's Basketball Tournament was announced Saturday night by the league office upon conclusion of regular-season action. Virginia Tech will be the No. 11 seed and begin its title defense Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the first round against No. 14 seed Notre Dame.

The tournament runs Tuesday, March 7 through Saturday, March 11 at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, N.C. Tech's first-round game vs. the Fighting Irish will be televised by the ACC Network.
  
Behind Grant Basile's 33-point effort, Tech earned its first road win of the season, 93-87, at Notre Dame. It was the only regular-season meeting between the Hokies and the Irish this season. Tech has won five in a row against Notre Dame, including an 87-80 victory in the quarterfinals of the 2022 ACC Tournament. In ACC Tournament play, the Hokies are 1-1 against ND.
 
No. 6 seed NC State will be awaiting the winner of Tech/Notre Dame in Wednesdays' second round at 9:30 p.m. on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

All 14 tournament games will be nationally televised on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ACC Network. In addition, all games will be available for streaming via ACCNX.
