Hokies look ahead to a pair of road matches

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech men's tennis (7-10, 1-6) continues their road trip facing No. 13 Harvard and Boston College this weekend.

STOPPING A SKID
The Hokies will look to snap a five-match losing streak that spans back to the dramatic 4-3 victory over Miami that marked the squads first conference win. Tech is lead in doubles by Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback ranked No. 18 in the latest ITA poll with a 6-5 overall record. Ryan Fishback moved up to No. 49 in singles this week and holds 9-8 mark with all of his matches played on Court 1 with four nationally ranked wins.

CRIMSON
Harvard has put together an impressive record of 10-4 that includes four wins against top-40 foes and a 1-1 mark against ACC opponents. In this weeks latest ITA poll the Crimson boasted three ranked singles players. The 13th ranked Crimson are lead by senior Harris Walker who anchors Court 1 with a 9-3 overall record. Junior Henry von der Schulenburg is the highest ranked singles player for Harvard at No. 20 and holds a 6-1 record with most of his matches being played on Court 2. The pairing of junior Ronan Jachuck and Steven Sun are the best doubles duo for Harvard with 10 wins in their 12 matches played.

EAGLES
Boston College enters this ACC matchup seeking their first win in conference play sitting one spot below the Hokies in the ACC standings following two-straight losses. BC fell 6-1 in their last match against Georgia Tech after jumping ahead 1-0 behind doubles victories from Juan Jose Bianchi and Max Motlagh, and Will Kasten and Anesh Jayasundera. Boston College's top doubles team of Motlagh and Jose Bianchi defeated the No. 15 doubles team in the country, taking down Andrew Martin and Marcus McDaniel 6-3.
