DON'T LOOK NOW
The Hokies began the season on a tear and appear to be one of the upstart programs in the ACC this season. Tech earned an 8-1 record for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign and gave a pair of top ten opponents everything they had this past weekend. Hosting No. 10 Duke and No. 1 UNC put forth a tall task for a Blacksburg squad that had yet to face a ranked foe, but the Hokies stood tall coming within a couple sets of a pair of victories. Semra Aksu stood out with two wins, including a 6-4, 1-6, 1-0(7) victory over No. 56 Reilly Tran of North Carolina to earn her first ranked win of the season. Erika Cheng remains perfect thus far this season with an 8-0 record commanding Court 5 featuring a straight set win against UNC's No. 75 Sara McClure.

EAGLES
Boston College welcomes the Hokies following a three match losing streak, most recently a 5-2 loss to Florida State. The Eagles (7-4, 0-3) got on the board against FSU with Junior Sophia Edwards earning a straight-set win at No. 3 singles. Sophomore Muskan Mahajan, who won her match last Friday, completed a 2-0 weekend at No. 6 singles after battling back from a set down to win.

ORANGE
Perfection is what Syracuse hopes to continue this season when they host Virginia Tech on Sunday. The Orange are 9-0 coming off a 5-2 victory over No. 23 Miami at home this past Sunday. After dropping the doubles point, senior Zeynep Erman swung momentum in favor of the Orange with a historic upset against the #8 ranked singles player in the country, Alexa Noel, winning the intense match 6-4, 6-3. Syracuse would go on to seal its 9th straight win with a Fonte triumph (6-1, 7-6) against Tahan (Miami).
