Hokie women finish with highest NCAA’s performance since 2012

NCAA Championships Final Results

KNOXVILLE – Women's NCAA Championships have come to and end and the Hokies finished 20th with 46 points, three places higher than last year's performance. The women earned five All-American Honorable Mentions and broke two school records throughout their time at NCAA's. 

During the last day of competition, Caroline Bentz advanced to finals in the 200 back, finishing 14th in finals at 1:52.74. Bentz finished as an All-American Honorable Mention and swam the second fastest time in Hokie history. 

In the last event of NCAA's, Sarah Shackelford, Emma Atkinson, Carmen Weiler Sastre and Emily Claesson finished 9th in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:12.76. The Hokies earned All-American Honorable Mention and broke another school record.
