KNOXVILLE – Kicking off the 2023 Women's NCAA Championships, Emma Atkinson, Carmen Weiler Sastre, Sarah Shackelford and Emily Claesson placed 14th in the 800 free relay at 7:01.65. Taking their first honor of the week, the Hokie women finished two places higher than their previous finish during last year's NCAA Championships.
TOMORROW
Chase Travis and Emma Atkinson will kick off the individual events with the 500 free. In the third event of the day Caroline Bentz, Carmen Weiler Sastre, and Sarah Shackelford will swim the 50 free. Taking on the boards, Izzi Mroz will compete in the 1-meter diving event.
