BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech women's tennis team remained perfect at home defeating Liberty, 5-2, on Saturday afternoon.

A large part of the Hokies success to start the spring campaign has been their ability to capture the doubles point. Katie Andreini and Dariya Radulova have been spectacular on Court 1 for Tech moving to 5-0 after a 6-1 thrashing of their Liberty challengers. Tamara Barad Itzhaki and Semra Aksu came swiftly behind them in a 6-2 victory gain the 1-0 lead for Virginia Tech.

It was all smiles for Katie Andreini getting the double bagel on Court 6, 6-0, 6-0, to start things off for Tech. Freshman phenom Özlem Uslu made quick work of her opponent on Court 2 in a 6-3, 6-3 victory to improve to 6-1 this season. Erika Cheng produced another gem on Court 4 before Liberty's Micaela Ode Mitre retired giving her the win. Dariya doused out the Flames with a 10-8 win in the third set tiebreak claiming the 5-2 victory for the Hokies, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (10-8).
