About the Hokies…
Virginia Tech starts its second season under head coach Kristen Skiera following a 9-9 campaign in 2022, which featured two ranked wins.
The Hokies return 10 players that started in 10-plus games last season. Sophomore Olivia Vergano led all returners in goals last season with 46, en route to earning Inside Lacrosse All-America honorable mention recognition.
Tech brings back five defenders (Sydney Golini, Mary Griffin, Lizzie Lohrer, Kacie Hanson and Jordan Tilley) that started in at least 17 of 18 games last year.
About the Rams…
VCU posted a 7-10 record last season under then first-year head coach Nicole Flores. In a Feb. 19, 2022 matchup, the Rams fell to the Hokies in Blacksburg, 17-9.
The Rams return their two leading scorers – Juliana George and Kelsey McDonnell. The pair accounted for 33% of VCU's goals last season.
