How did you first get involved in tennis?
My dad played a lot of tennis and would always bring me to the courts. He started teaching me the basics and would rally with my sister and I. After that I really liked it and I started taking lessons, going to clinics, and competing.
What has been the best advice a coach has given you?
The best advice a coach has given me is to stay gritty and never give up. I love this advice because in tennis the momentum of a match can change so staying disciplined is very important.
Who do you model your game after?
Caroline Wozniaki, her strengths are her movement on the court and consistency. She chases down every shot, has a very good defensive game, and was one of the fittest players.
What are you looking forward to in your senior year?
Spending time with my teammates and anything with tennis. This has by far been my favorite thing at Virginia Tech!
What would be your dream job after graduation?
My dream job after graduation would be a pediatrics nurse, personal trainer, and a tennis coach. I am excited for my next journey and have a lot of different things I would want to do!
