Early mornings aren't for everyone, but they are a way of life for student-athletes and Virginia Tech football is no different, as it began its Hunger Drills portion of the offseason workout plan at 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The workout focused on improving agility and building stamina, while trying to make the majority of the drills about competition. From pushing sleds with weights on them against one another to tug-of-war with a tire, it was an intense 90 minutes.
Competition is the name of the game, with returners trying to prove themselves and newcomers looking to climb up the ladder.
On Monday, the ACC announced its 2023 schedule, finalizing the Hokies' fall state. They will play three games in September and also host a Thursday night game.
Tech's spring game, presented by PMSI, will be held on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m. ET on ACC Network Extra. Sign up to get notified when more specifics surrounding the game will be finalized.
