  • The Tigers post the ACC's best 3-point percentage at 38.8%. Clemson has four players that have attempted more than 25 shots from deep shooting above 40%.

The Series

  • The Hokies have a 23-17 advantage in the all-time series with Clemson.
  • The two sides split the season series last year. Clemson defeated Tech, 63-59, in Clemson. Four days later, they squared off in the second round of the ACC Tournament in Brooklyn, N.Y. where Darius Maddox's drilled a 3-pointer as time expired in overtime to propel the Hokies to the 76-75 win.
  • Over the last 10 games in the Clemson series, Tech has posted an 8-2 record.
  • Tech is 14-5 all-time against Clemson inside Cassell Coliseum and have won five in a row in Blacksburg vs. the Tigers.
  • Mike Young earned his 300th career win as a head coach on Nov. 5, 2019 - a 67-60 victory at Clemson.

HOKIE HEADLINES

  • Tech returns home where it's 8-0 on the season.
  • The Hokies will look to snap their two-game skid against Clemson, which is second in the ACC standings at 3-0 in league play.
  • In ACC-only games, Justyn Mutts is the lone player in the league to rank in the top three in scoring (21.0 – 2nd) and rebounding (10.0 – t3rd). He's also 2nd in FG% at 64.4%.

ROAD WINS HARD TO COME BY

  • The Hokies are 0-3 in road games for the 2022-23 season. They went 7-6 last season.
  • "Winning on the road's really hard, I don't care what league you're in" Young said after the Wake game. "Beating Wake Forest on the road, it's hard. And those are real feathers in the cap [when you win road games], and we've lost, we've squandered two opportunities, at BC and at Wake Forest."

UP NEXT

  • The Hokies will take on NC State at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday inside Cassell Coliseum.
