If you tuned in to the No. 12 Virginia Tech versus Wake Forest women's basketball game on Sunday, you saw another episode of the dynamic duo of guard Georgia Amoore and center Elizabeth Kitley playing their A-game for the Hokies.
When those two are on, Tech (16-3, 6-3 ACC) is tough to beat, and Sunday was no different, as the Hokies cruised to a 17-point victory over the Demon Deacons (11-9, 2-7) by a score of 74-57 at Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum.
But, this outing in particular might have been their best feat yet.
It started off with Kitley coming out swinging, making three of her first four attempts from the field and her third one was historic, becoming the program leader in career field goals, passing Tere Williams' 694 made shots.
"It was honestly really cool," Kitley said in her postgame press conference. "It hasn't sunk in yet, but once I finish my career and leave here, it's going to be really nice to know that I left my mark."

In the second half, it was Amoore's turn to set a program record as she dished out an assist that gave her the school record for most career assists in ACC contests, with her now sitting at 196 and counting.
"But congrats to Georgia also," Kitley said. "Being the leader in ACC play as just a junior is ridiculous."
Amoore clapped back and joked that Kitley is the one that makes all the baskets off of her assists. The two laughed and took the next question together.
Their chemistry is evident and Hokie Nation should feel pretty special to have two generational talents on the same team at the same time. Both have more program records that are within reach for them to catch, but neither is focused on that. Just the team. And this team is continuing to get ready to do something special come March.
The next time this team is at home is Thursday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. ET versus Syracuse (13-7, 4-5).
