The Virginia Tech women's basketball team will participate in the 2022 Baha Mar Hoops Pink Flamingo Championship the organization announced Thursday morning.
Tech will take on the SEC Champion Kentucky Wildcats in the opening game of the competition on Monday, November 21. The matchup with the Wildcats will be the third all-time meeting in the series and the first since 1989. Both programs own a victory in the series.
The Hokies will then take on Missouri on Wednesday, November 23. That will be the second meeting between the schools with the first coming at the 2006 NCAA Tournament when the Hokies won 82-51.
Coach Brooks is 4-2 against competition from the Southeastern Conference in his tenure in Blacksburg.
