Hokie ClubThe Virginia Tech athletics department announced its plans to recognize, reward and engage Hokie fans through its digital platforms this summer.
The campaign will begin on Monday, June 20, and run through Friday, July 29. Each day of the week will have a unique theme, offering Hokie Nation the chance to participate and be recognized for their support of Tech Athletics. The daily themes as part of this campaign are:
- Maroon & Orange Monday - Show us how you rep Virginia Tech wherever you are! On Mondays, put on your maroon and orange Hokie gear and share your photo with @hokiesports on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. At the end of July, every submission will be entered for a chance to win one (1) of five $50 gift cards to the HokieSports Shop!
- Ticket Tuesday - A special limited-time offer for football tickets will be released every Tuesday. Join our interest list and get notified when each ticket special becomes available.
- Wallpaper Wednesday - Follow @hokiesports on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to get a new jersey wallpaper of a different Tech uniform every Wednesday.
- Throwback Thursday - Virginia Tech claimed the Commonwealth Clash this past year for the first time since 2018. In celebration of that accomplishment, join us on the @hokiesports Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts every Thursday as we relive each victory over the Cavaliers.
- Fan Appreciation Friday - Are you the ultimate Hokie fan? Stay locked in on the @hokiesports Twitter, Facebook and Instagram accounts every Friday for your chance to win prizes. One (1) lucky fan will also win a VIP experience at a Virginia Tech Football game this fall!
In addition to the daily themes outlined above, the campaign will include the return of the Youth Sport Spotlight initiative designed to highlight youth sport coaches for their positive work in the community and mentorship of young athletes. You can nominate a youth sport coach for recognition, and one honoree will be publicized each week throughout the summer.
