PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The No. 2 Virginia Tech softball team clinched its third Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season title and is the No. 1 seed in the 2022 Atlantic Coast Conference Softball Championship, which begins Wednesday, May 11, at Vartabedian Field in Pittsburgh.
The Hokies earned the top seed after winning the regular-season championship with a 21-2 mark in conference action. Virginia Tech will play its first tournament game in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 11 a.m., when it takes on the winner of Wednesday's first-round matchup between No. 9 Syracuse and No. 8 Louisville.
The 2022 ACC Softball Championship will continue with Friday's semifinals at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and will conclude with Saturday's championship game at 1 p.m.
ACC Network and ESPN2 will provide 18 hours of live coverage of the ACC Softball Championship. The first three rounds will be broadcast on ACC Network, and ESPN2 will carry the championship game, with studio breaks in between games.
All-session ticket books are sold out, but limited single-session tickets are available by clicking here or by calling the Panthers Ticket Office at 800-643-7488. Single-session tickets are $10. All seating will be general admission and all tickets will be digital. Current students at ACC institutions will receive free admission with a valid school ID.
Active military/veterans will receive free admission with a valid military ID, and youth ages two or younger will also receive free admission.
