Twenty Virginia Tech student-athletes to take part in Fall Commencement

BLACKSBURG – A total of 20 Virginia Tech student-athletes are slated to receive diplomas Friday during the university's fall commencement inside Cassell Coliseum. The list includes 11 members of the football program, two from men's soccer, and one each from baseball, men's cross country, men's golf, men's track and field, wrestling, spirit and volleyball.

Of the 20 student-athletes, Kaleb Smith of football is earning his master's degree in curriculum and instruction. The remaining 19 degrees are all undergraduate in areas such as real estate, management, criminology, human development, communication, sports media and analytics, nutrition and computer engineering.

The undergraduate ceremony is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. The graduate school ceremony begins at 2:30 p.m.
