BLACKSBURG – Senior center Elizabeth Kitley earned ACC Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Kitley scored 22 points against Boston College last week and then added 18 Sunday versus UNC Asheville. In both games she collected a double-double.
The Summerfield, North Carolina native averaged 20.0 points on 55% shooting and 11 rebounds over the course of two games.

Kitley ranks third in the conference is scoring (18.8), first in rebounds (11.2), sixth in FG% (52.5), second in blocks (21), first in double-doubles (8) and third in 20-point games (5).
She is also one of three athletes in WBB to average 18 points per game and 11 rebounds, ranks third in the nation with her eight double-doubles and is eighth in total rebounds (112) and fourth in defensive rebounds per game (8.6).
The Hokies moved up to sixth in the AP Poll Monday setting up a top-six matchup with No. 5 Notre Dame at Cassell Coliseum on Sunday, December 18 at 4 p.m.
