Virginia Tech football met with the media Wednesday for post-practice media availability to discuss this week's matchup versus Georgia Tech. Read below to see what Tech head coach Brent Pry and tight end Drake De Iuliis had to say.

Head coach Brent Pry

On the running backs he has available:
"To be honest, when Keshawn [King] has been healthy and carried the load, he has been pretty good. So, I think, obviously, he is the first choice. Chance [Black] is a tough, hard runner, so we'd like to see him get some carries if Malachi [Thomas] is not playing. Then, [Jalen] Holston is consistent and steady. He's got his role that he does very well, so that's where it is right now."

On the joy the sideline had during the third quarter of NC State:
"I think that the pace of the way the plays we're rolling off went a little faster click, some misdirection, some two backs, some unbalanced. I think they got a sense right there of what it is like to get a defense off-balance. When you feel like you are working on both sides of the ball, it was fun. That's why there was some success."

Tight end Drake De Iuliis

On the attitude of the team:
"I think our locker room is as strong as it has been in my time here. The record doesn't show what we want it to be. We still have four games that we can win to get us bowl eligible. Nobody is quitting on this team. There's still so much fight and many good things are coming."

On his confidence in this team going forward:
"I think that anyone that was doubting us or had any questions about it, it gives inspiration. You watch that one quarter of football and we can be as good as we want to be. We have to put a whole game together. But when you re-watch that, you see that we can be great."
