Gallo earns CSC Academic All-District honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Virginia Tech football's Nick Gallo has been named to the 2022 Academic All-District®Football Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC).

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.

The CSC Academic All‐America® program separately recognizes football honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in late December.

Gallo, a fourth-year senior, racked up 30 catches for 256 receiving yards this season, including a career long of 35 yards against Liberty on Nov. 19. In the classroom, the Richboro, Pennsylvania native recorded a 3.7 GPA in finance with a concentration in corporate financial management. He is a four-time Dean's List member and was on the ACC's All-Academic team last year.
