1. How did you first get involved in tennis?
When my mom put me in a tennis camp at the age of seven, I ended up doing pretty well and enjoying myself on court. One of the coaches invited me to attend another program that was offered at the tennis park, and I just continued progressing through each program through the years!
2. What has been the best advice a coach has given you?
The best advice a coach has given me is to quit thinking and just go. Follow your instincts and just trust yourself to play your game well!
3. Who do you model your game after?
I think someone whose game is similar to mine is Bianca Andreescu. She goes after her shots with boldness, and she isn't afraid to mix it up to give her opponent a different look/change up the rhythm. I also admire her fight, firepower, and "go get it" mentality.
4. What has been your favorite moment since playing ACC tennis?
My favorite moment since playing ACC tennis was beating Clemson in the first round of the ACC tournament my freshman year. My singles match was a rollercoaster and a battle, and Beti, a senior at the time, clinched the match for us, when we rushed the court in celebration.
5. If you weren't playing tennis, what sport would you play and why?
I would most likely play either volleyball or soccer. I played soccer when I was younger and liked it, but tennis was my favorite of course! I never played volleyball growing up, but I love watching it now and even sometimes play for fun with friends.
