Conner earns Reese’s Senior Bowl invitation

MOBILE, Ala. – Virginia Tech redshirt senior safety Chamarri Conner is headed to the 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl.

The Senior Bowl is considered the most prominent college football all-star game in the United States and is treated as the first step in the NFL Draft process. Dating back to its first game in 1950, the Senior Bowl has seen nearly 60 of its former players inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
 
The 2023 Reese's Senior Bowl will take place on Feb. 4 at South Alabama's Hancock Whitney Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on NFL Network. Tickets are also available for purchase.

Conner has started all nine games at safety for the Hokies this season. His 57 tackles (32 solo) this season rank second on the team and have him tied for 20th in the ACC. Conner made his 46th consecutive start against Georgia Tech. He now holds the Tech record for most consecutive starts in the ACC era.
 
Virginia Tech has a long history of sending players to the Senior Bowl as Conner becomes the 56th program participant in the prestigious event. Defensive end Amaré Barno, offensive lineman Lecitus Smith and wide receiver Tré Turner participated in the 2022 Reese's Senior Bowl.
