Notable Week 8 Performances
LB Tremaine Edmunds
Buffalo star linebacker Tremaine Edmunds had quite the impressive night at the office on Sunday evening at Green Bay's Lambeau Field.
The 2018 first-round draft pick racked up an insane 16 total tackles, with 13 solo, in the Bills' 27-17 victory over the Packers on Sunday Night Football, totaling a single-game career-high in the process to cap off a performance to remember for the fifth-year pro.
Up next for Edmunds, Tim Settle and the remainder of Bills Mafia, a trip to MetLife Stadium for a date with Duane Brown and the division rival New York Jets. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET with it scheduled to appear on CBS.
OT Christian Darrisaw
Fellow former first-round draft pick Christian Darrisaw had an afternoon for the ages in the Minnesota Vikings' 34-26 win over the Arizona Cardinals this past Sunday at U.S. Bank Stadium.
The ex-First Team All-ACC member during his final season with the maroon and orange earned a jaw-dropping 91.2 run-blocking grade in the victory, according to Pro Football Focus, and added on to that with a whopping 87.7 grade when it comes to pass-blocking to truly put the cherry on top of an outer-worldly display.
Now in his second full season at the professional ranks, Darrisaw continues to shine in what has been a magical 2022 campaign, and will have an opportunity to keep the momentum going this upcoming weekend when the Vikings head south to the nation's capital to take on Kendall Fuller, Logan Thomas, Joey Slye and the rest of the Washington Commanders. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with the game being televised on FOX.
RB Khalil "Juice" Herbert
Chicago second-year running back Khalil Herbert found the end zone already for the fourth time on the ground this season in the Bears' 49-29 setback to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon.
The 2021 sixth-round draft pick carried the ball 16 times for 99 yards in the 20-point defeat, showcasing his talents at the highest level, just as he's done so all year long in 2022.
Herbert and company will look to get back on track this upcoming weekend when the Bears play host to the Miami Dolphins inside Soldier Field. Kickoff from the Windy City is slated for 1 p.m. with the game being televised on CBS.
TE James Mitchell
Rookie tight end James Mitchell hauled in his first career reception for Detroit this past Sunday in the Lions' narrow 31-27 loss to the Miami Dolphins inside Ford Field.
A fifth-round pick in this past April's NFL Draft, the former three-year starter during his time at Tech notched a single reception for 14 yards after continuing to get more involved in Detroit's offensive playbook over the past couple of weeks. And now with this major milestone finally out of the way, Mitchell now can set his sights to full speed ahead for what could be a very solid NFL career that's just getting started up in the Motor City.
Detroit now turns its attention to getting back into the win column this upcoming weekend when it welcomes in offensive linemen Yosh Nijman, Luke Tenuta and the rest of the Green Bay Packers for a crucial divisional matchup for that visitor's up north that hail from the Badger State. Toe meets leather at 1 p.m. with the game being streamed on FOX.
DE Amarè Barno
First-year defensive end Amarè Barno also recorded a major milestone this past weekend for the Carolina Panthers in the team's heartbreaking overtime loss to the Atlanta Falcons back on Sunday afternoon.
The 2022 sixth-round draft pick achieved his first career tackle by tallying two total takedowns in the team's 37-34 defeat, showing he can be a productive player at the NFL level in just his third game seeing action on a professional gridiron.
Barno, Raheem Blackshear and the rest of the Panthers aim to bounce back this upcoming Sunday, as they travel to Cincinnati to face off against the Bengals at Paul Brown Stadium for a 1 p.m. kick that'll be televised on FOX.
More Week 9 Matchups
Sunday, Nov. 6
Indianapolis at New England - 1 p.m. - CBS
Cornerback Brandon Facyson recorded a solo tackle in Indianapolis' last-second 17-16 loss to Washington back on Sunday afternoon.
A first-year member of the Colts' secondary, Facyson has served as a valuable piece on the defensive side of the ball so far in 2022, and will look to keep that trend going when Indianapolis heads to New England to square off with the Patriots this upcoming Sunday.
Las Vegas at Jacksonville - 1 p.m. - CBS
Las Vegas standout linebacker Divine Deablo hasn't stopped producing since arriving on the professional stage a season ago in 2021.
The former star safety during his time in Blacksburg garnered an eye-catching 14 total tackles, with nine coming on his own, in this past weekend's 24-0 setback to New Orleans, showcasing his ability to perform at the highest level in a position that Deablo had yet to play prior to being selected in the third-round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Certainly no stranger to success, the former five-year member of the maroon and orange seems poised to keep on doing big things in the linebacking corps for the very foreseeable future, and will look to prove that correct when the Raiders head to Jacksonville to face off against the Jaguars at TIAA Bank Field.
Seattle at Arizona - 1 p.m. - FOX
Offensive lineman Lecitus Smith and the Arizona Cardinals eye their second victory in three weeks when they welcome in the Seattle Seahawks to StateFarm Stadium in a key matchup for playoff positioning out in the NFC West.
Smith, a sixth-round draft pick this past April, didn't play a single snap in the team's loss to Minnesota over the weekend, but has shown to be a valuable asset in the two games appeared in so far this season as a nice option off the bench for the Cardinals' offensive line.
Tennessee at Kansas City - 8:20 p.m. - NBC
Cornerback Caleb Farley and the Tennessee Titans are set to embark on a huge matchup between two AFC-title-hopefuls when they travel to Kansas City to face off against the Chiefs in this week's edition of NBC's Sunday Night Football.
Farley, a former first-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, played just nine snaps a week ago in the 17-10 win over Houston down in the Lone Star State. And although his action on the field has been limited as of late, the ex-First Team All-ACC member during his time with the Hokies still possesses an extreme upside that's ready to break out at any given moment to help contribute to the Titans' secondary.
Monday, Nov. 7
Baltimore at New Orleans - 8:15 p.m. - ESPN
Baltimore safety Chuck Clark just keeps adding on to his already impressive start to the 2022 campaign.
The sixth-year member of the purple and black posted three total tackles (2 solo) in the Ravens' 27-22 Thursday night victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers just under a week ago, and has put together one of most productive seasons to date roaming around the secondary in the Charm City.
Clark and company look to continue their winning ways this upcoming Monday, when they make the trip to New Orleans to face off against the Saints in this week's edition of Monday Night Football.
