Virginia Tech athletics department announces launch of Virginia Tech Marketplace

Opens in a new window Virginia Tech Marketplace

BLACKSBURG – As part of its comprehensive efforts to provide name, image and likeness opportunities for Hokie student-athletes, the Virginia Tech athletics department announced the launch of the Virginia Tech Marketplace on Thursday. The Opendorse-powered platform will continue to help the department maximize NIL support for student-athletes.

The marketplace is built specifically to meet Tech student-athletes' NIL needs. Hokie fans, brands, sponsors and donors can browse, book, pitch and pay any Hokie student-athlete for NIL activities in one compliant platform. Opendorse maximizes NIL opportunities for athletes, while delivering security and simplicity for all involved parties.

Through Virginia Tech Marketplace, every student-athlete will receive an Opendorse profile, which they can customize and promote to fans on their personal social media channels. Athletes can review opportunities, receive deals and accept compensation through the marketplace.

All current Hokie student-athletes can be found in the Virginia Tech Marketplace. Opendorse has facilitated hundreds of thousands of NIL deals and endorsements with athletes at every level of sport. The marketplace is used by over 75,000 athletes to manage deals from pitch to payment every day.
