Tech closes fall slate at Furman Intercollegiate

BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech men's golf team will wrap up its fall slate in Greenville, South Carolina at the 52nd Furman Intercollegiate this weekend, Oct. 22-23.

In their last tournament – the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate – the Hokies tied for 13th with an 880 in Jonesborough, Tennessee. Daniel Azallion and Kobe Valociek led the Hokies by tying for 44th with a 3-over 219.

Furman is hosting the 15-team tournament at the Furman University Golf Club. The Commonwealth of Virginia will be well represented in the Palmetto State this weekend as JMU, William and Mary and Richmond join the Hokies for the 54-hole event.

Tech's lineup for the tournament will feature Drew Brockwell, Azallion, Cameron Moore, Valociek and Charlie Hanson. David Stanford will be playing as an individual.

Saturday's opening two rounds will begin with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Tech is paired with Furman and High Point on Saturday.
