BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech fell to Princeton, 5-0, on Tuesday night at Thompson Field.
 
Four first-half goals, including two in the first nine minutes, and a fervent Princeton attack that recorded 27 shots in the match put the Hokies in a difficult position throughout the night.
 
The Tigers added another one in the second half, making this the first match that Tech has conceded five goals since Aug. 27, 2017.
 
Virginia Tech recorded five shots on target in the game – two in the first half and three in the second half.
