Opens in a new window SEASON TICKETS

The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced today the 20 watch-list candidates for the 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award. Named after the first player, male or female, selected to an All-America Team in four straight college seasons, the annual award in its sixth year recognizes the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball. A nationalcommittee of top college basketball personnel determined the watch list of 20 candidates.

Owusu, who transferred from Maryland, scored over 1,200 points in three seasons with the Terrapins. For her career, Owusu averages 14.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 5.0 assists per game and also shoots 76% from the free throw line. In 2021-22, Owusu averaged 14.3 points per game, 3.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists while shooting 42% from the field. She scored in double figures in 20 of 27 games played and registered eight 20-point games, scoring a season-high 30 points vs. Stanford in November.

The Woodbridge, Virginia native was the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award winner in 2021, and has been an AP All-American twice in addition to numerous other accolades including being a two-time Big Ten Tournament MVP.

Tech will open the season at home on Monday November 7, when they welcome Mount St. Mary's to Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum for a 5 p.m. tip against the Mountaineers. That game can be seen on ACC Network Extra.
