For the first time in over three weeks, the Virginia Tech football team is back in Lane Stadium for a matchup with ACC Coastal Division foe Miami (Fla.) this Saturday, Oct. 15.

Kickoff is set for 12:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on Regional Sports Networks. This highly-anticipated contest was announced as a sellout back in September, and fans still looking for tickets are encouraged to visit StubHub, the official secondary ticket marketplace of Virginia Tech Athletics.

Get ready for gameday with five things to know for the Hokies' clash with the Hurricanes.

1. Wear maroon. This Saturday's contest will serve as the team's annual Maroon Effect game in partnership with Virginia Tech's Undergraduate Student Senate. All fans are encouraged to wear maroon, including this season's official Maroon Effect T-shirt, although shipping is not guaranteed prior to gameday. Fans can also pick one up on Saturday from the Hokie Shop's trailer in Lot 4.

2. It's homecoming on campus. Tech alumni will return to Blacksburg this week for plenty of Homecoming festivities. The Homecoming parade is set for 7 p.m. on Friday night, traveling between campus and downtown on Washington Street, Main Street and Alumni Mall, led by grand marshal and Olympian Kristi Castlin ('10). A spirit rally will be held on the Drillfield following the parade featuring live music and games before a fireworks display at 8:45 p.m.

Beamer Way will be closed from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. for the parade, and Lot 2 will be closed. Lot 1 can still be accessed from the Washington Street entrance. Fans are also invited to attend Tech men's soccer's match against Pitt at 5 p.m. on Friday night at Thompson Field. Admission is free.

The Homecoming alumni tailgate will open on Saturday morning at 8:45 a.m. Registration is $10 in advance and $15 the day of and includes food, drinks and Homestead Creamery ice cream. Guests will enjoy lawn games, music, a petting zoo, inflatables and more.

A special Homecoming presentation is set for halftime of Saturday's football game, featuring a performance by the Marching Virginians and appearances by dignitaries and this year's homecoming court.

3. There's plenty going on in Hokie Village. Set to open at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning, Hokie Village will have something for everyone to experience prior to kickoff. There will be live music from the Jared Stout Band along with plenty of agriculture-related activations, courtesy of Virginia Farm Bureau, Mascot Grills and more. Both Tech's lacrosse and softball teams will also be signing autographs from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

4. Catch Hokie Walk and March to Victory. Be there to greet the team when they arrive for Hokie Walk on Beamer Way at approximately 10 a.m. At 11:10 a.m., join the Marching Virginians and the Tech Spirit Squads as they march from the MV practice field in Lot 5 to Lane Stadium. Lane Stadium gates open at 10:30 a.m.

5. Download your mobile ticket before entering Lane Stadium. Make your gameday hassle-free by downloading your mobile tickets and adding them to your digital wallet before arriving at the gates.
