BLACKSBURG — The Virginia Tech men's basketball program has announced a tip-off banquet for Friday, October 21 (6-9 p.m.) at the Hahn Hurst Basketball Practice Center. In addition to building excitement for the upcoming 2022-23 campaign, the night will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1973 NIT championship team.
Open to the public, registration is $100 and will cover your food and beverages for the event. Food will be served buffet style, and attendees will get to hear from members of the Tech men's basketball staff on the upcoming season, as well as mingle with the entire 2022-23 roster.
Also in attendance will be members of the 1973 NIT championship team, which earned Tech its first-ever postseason championship in program history – winning four straight games by a combined five points in Madison Square Garden.
