BLACKSBURG – After practice on Wednesday, Virginia Tech football met with the media for a media availability. Read below to see what head coach Brent Pry and offensive lineman Silas Dzansi had to say.

HEAD COACH BRENT PRY
On what he thought the special teams did well on versus ODU and what they need to improve on heading into this week's game:
"I thought it was good. Our punt team did a nice job punting, securing and covering. There weren't many yards after the catch. I thought we did a good job there. I'd like to see us kick the ball through the endzone better. We had been doing that, but we had to cover some kicks. They're going to happen at times, but I thought there were a few too many punt returns that we missed some yardage. We gave up some yardage, and we don't like to see that happen, so we have got to improve the decision-making that we do. We were just average in many areas, but there were certain things we should be better at."

On Boston College's defense and what is going to challenge the team the most:
"They're very proficient with what they do. They don't do a lot, but they do it well. They're a well-coached bunch that is a couple of years into this thing. They have a good handle on what they are doing defensively."

OFFENSIVE LINEMAN SILAS DZANSI
On penalties during the game Friday and how they can be more disciplined:
"It was frustrating because we are usually not that team. We're usually the disciplined team. We just beat ourselves with that one. That's not something we usually do, so that we will be cleaning that up."

On what he is excited about heading into his final home opener:
"I was excited about it last year, too, but just knowing that it is my last home opener, it's going to be even more special for the other seniors we have and me. So, hopefully, we can close it out with a win."
