BLACKBURG – Virginia Tech lacrosse released its 2022 fall schedule on Monday. The slate features four dates of competition against familiar foes, along with an Alumni Game as part of the team's Alumni Weekend in November.
The Hokies will open play on Friday, Oct. 7 in Blacksburg, Va. against Liberty before traveling to JMU on Oct. 8.
On Oct. 14, Tech will venture to Charlottesville, Va. for its third date. The Hokies will wrap up outside competition on Oct. 22 in Durham, N.C. against Duke.
The program is excited to welcome back former student-athletes for an Alumni Game on Nov. 4. That match will kick off an Alumni Weekend that includes a social event later that evening and a tailgate before Virginia Tech's football game against Georgia Tech on Nov. 5.
This fall slate precedes the 2023 spring season, which will be Virginia Tech's second regular season under head coach Kristen Skiera. The Hokies are coming off an impressive 2022 season, which saw the team earn noteworthy wins against No. 13 JMU and No. 15 Notre Dame.
