BLACKSBURG – After practice on Wednesday, Virginia Tech football met with media for media availability. Read below to see what head coach Brent Pry and running back Keshawn King had to say.

Head coach Brent Pry

On his mindset going into playing an FCS team like Wofford:
"We have areas that we have got to get better at. We've got to keep improving, keep pushing. We will not take an FCS opponent for granted. I'm not a big statistics guy, but I have been a part of many games where things happen, but I think we are in a good place. This game is more about us improving than an opponent, and that's how we prefer to look at every game."

On what he thinks offensively the team can work on against Wofford:
"I want to see us be on schedule offensively. I think we have got to have more consistency. We do some good things, but we must put a couple of series together in a row to feel good about what we are doing."

On what it was like waiting three years to play for Virginia Tech:
"It was tough. But I had to stay patient and wait my turn. There were a lot of guys in front of me that I got a chance to look up to and see how they approached the game. I got to see how they handled things on and off the field. It started with me learning more about the game, slowing things down coming out of high school. I got a chance to put on more weight. At the end of the day, I was ready to do whatever it took to help this team win."

On what he improved on most during the offseason with a new coaching staff:
"I understand schemes. Just understanding not just my position but everyone around me. I learned that when you learn the whole offense and know everything that is going on, on the field, everything becomes slower. When I started working with [Stu] Holt, it wasn't just about running back. It was about what the O-line is doing. What are the wide receivers doing? What is the quarterback doing? All those things helped me learn, allowing me to do what I am doing now."
