Defending ACC champs to play two fall '22 exhibitions

BLACKSBURG – Making its first competitive appearances since hosting the 2022 Regional and Super Regional weekends in Blacksburg, the Virginia Tech baseball team revealed on Wednesday its fall 2022 exhibition calendar, featuring a pair of regional matchups slated for the month of October.

On Friday, Oct. 14, the defending ACC Coastal Division champions will host Radford at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park (first pitch time will be announced at a later date). Any and all fans are encouraged to attend while taking advantage of free admission, open seating and access to ballpark concessions.

One week later on Friday, Oct. 21, Tech will make the short trek to Liberty for an exhibition date against the Flames (first pitch time will be announced at a later date). Game accessibility to the public is at the discretion of the Liberty athletic department; fans are encouraged to visit liberty.edu/flames for more information regarding ballpark accessibility.

Fall exhibition games may vary in length and format from traditional nine-inning contests at the discretion of both coaching staffs.

Information regarding Virginia Tech's intrasquad Fall World Series in late October will be released at a later date.

The Hokies are coming off their historic 2022 season, during which Tech achieved the best regular season record within the ACC (19-9), earned the No. 4 national seed in the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship and finished one game shy of advancing to the College World Series in Omaha.
