BLACKSBURG – Head coach Pete D'Amour and the Virginia Tech softball team have announced the 2022 fall schedule. The Hokies will play four games at home, beginning on Friday, Sept. 23rd, taking on UVA Wise at 6:30 p.m.
Following the matchup with UVA Wise, Tech will host Carson-Newman on Oct. 4, Tusculum on Oct. 14 and Louisburg on Oct. 28. All four games will take place at Tech Softball Park and admission is free.
The Hokies are coming off the 2022 season in which they advanced to the Super Regionals for the second straight season and hosted a Regional and a Super Regional for the first time in school history in D'Amour's fourth season at the helm. Tech also earned its second ACC Regular Season Title in four seasons, posting a 21-2 record in conference play, the best winning percentage in school history.
All-American outfielder Emma Ritter returns for her junior season and Top-3 Finalist for Freshman of the Year, Emma Lemley, both take the field for Tech this fall. The Hokies also add eight newcomers ready to make an impact.
